Austin Gatus is a 25-year-old singer-songwriter-saxophonist/producer from San Diego, California. His musical style blends elements of Pop, R&B, and Jazz Fusion. He currently resides in Los Angeles and is a UCLA alumnus.
As a performing musician, Austin has shared the stage with artists such as Harry Styles, MAX, Kenny G, Dave Koz, and Jessica Sanchez. In a recent appearance, Austin joined Harry Style’s band as part of the horn section headlining Coachella (see Performance Credits).
Austin does additional work in film & theatre composition. He was recognized as the winner of the 2021 Marvin Hamlisch International Music Awards in the “Musical Theatre Composition” category presented by Tony Award winner, Idina Menzel (see Film & Media Composer).
Being a childhood cancer survivor, Austin supports Rady Children’s Hospital, the Starlight Foundation, Cancer for College, and other organizations that support children and young adults with cancer. Austin performs at charity events that benefit childhood cancer awareness whenever possible (see Conquering Cancer for more on Austin’s journey).
